Blue cloth with white title label to spine. Illustrated from the poetry of the time. Spine is bumped and browned. Some spotting to covers. Half of fold-out map is torn off and loosely inserted to rear. Contents are generally very good. Wrapper is in two pieces, torn down one edge; other tears and chips; some loss; tape marks to base of spine.
Peach cloth with gil title and dark brown vignettes. Book of verse. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some grubby marks to covers. Foxing and page browning.

This facsimile has been reproduced from the manuscript MS Harley 2278 in the British Library through digital photography by Laurence Pordes and has been printed by Cambridge University Press on Furioso paper from the Biberist mill in Switzerland supplied by John Purcell Paper.This edition of 1010 copies, of which 1000 are for sale, has been bound for members of The Folio Society by Smith Settle of Otley, Yorkshire, in full Nigerian goatskin with leather onlays over bevelled boards, blocked with a design by David Eccles, with handmade laid-paper endleaves from the Fabriano Mill, Italy. Contained in a green cloth box with red title block to spine. Also contained with this edition is 'A Commentary' - in green cloth, with gilt titles to spine. This is Copy No. 45. Contained in a near fine slip case - a few small knocks to a couple of edges. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Blue Nigerian Goatskin spine with gilt title, purple vendome cloth sides. Gilt endpapers. Originally published in 1859. 69 pages. A fine copy contained in publisher's slipcase which is a little grubby and scuffed to one side. Slight binding imperfection where the boards are not sitting central - one board is sticking out further than the other.
