This facsimile has been reproduced from the manuscript MS Harley 2278 in the British Library through digital photography by Laurence Pordes and has been printed by Cambridge University Press on Furioso paper from the Biberist mill in Switzerland supplied by John Purcell Paper.This edition of 1010 copies, of which 1000 are for sale, has been bound for members of The Folio Society by Smith Settle of Otley, Yorkshire, in full Nigerian goatskin with leather onlays over bevelled boards, blocked with a design by David Eccles, with handmade laid-paper endleaves from the Fabriano Mill, Italy. Contained in a green cloth box with red title block to spine. Also contained with this edition is 'A Commentary' - in green cloth, with gilt titles to spine. This is Copy No. 35. Slip case is fine. A stunning version. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Contains only 3 coloured plates and 23 b/w drawings, but they are among Rackham's finest. He modelled the apple tree on one which grew outside his barn at Houghton House but it was pushed over by a mischievous cow soon after being drawn! Rose-grey pictorial cloth. Grey/white pictorial endpapers. 77 pages. 8.25 x 6.5". Some light bumping and wear to spine and corners. A little foxing and browning to endpapers and outer page edges. Odd margin mark. All plates present. Creasing to a couple of tissue guards.

What appears to be a list of children's names - possibly in the same class during 1921. Some foxing and browning. A few grubby margin marks. All plates present. Wrapper is browned with a few large tears and chips; some loss, especially to top of spine and top of front panel; some tape repairs.
