Large format. Red cloth with gilt title to spine and elaborate peacock and elephant design to front cover. 20 superb colour plates, tipped onto cream card with decorative border and each with a tissue-guard. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Endpapers partly browned. Foxing to contents. Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. The covers of this copy are beautifully bright and clean as the book has been protected by the scarce original dustwrapper. The dustwrapper is slightly foxed and browned to spine with slight wear.
