12 enchanting tipped-in colour plates. Green cloth, gilt titles and decorations. 240 pages. Large format. Published for Boots the Chemist. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Board edges a little darkened. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Front joint and some hinges cracked. One plate is MISSING. Other plates present and in very good condition. Tissue guard for frontis is creased and has tape to top 42, partially detached at bottom. Browning to endpapers. Foxing mainly to page margins and some margin marks. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with areas of loss to top and bottom of spine and front fold and bottom of rear panel. Some creasing to front panel and spine. Wrapper is grubby.
