Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
The 'ACE' Series. Beige cloth boards with black title to spine. 4 b/w plates. Boards bowed. A few minor foxspots presesnt. Some hinges pulled. Frontis part detached. Name ink to half-title page. Price-cut dustwrapper is edge-creased and worn with loss at edges.

Weekly Magazine. Paperwraps. Contains Pirate and Gentleman the strange story of Captain Misson from the They Flew the Jolly Roger series by W.E. Johns. Staples rusty. Some damage at base of spine. Pencil writing to top margin of front cover. Browned with a couple of edge chips.

Poor condition.
Red cloth spine with black titles. Pictorial front cover with red title. 4 colour and 4 b/w plates. Contains 5 W.E. Johns stories. Spine bumped and faded. Corners are bumped and worn. Board edges are rubbed. Title on front is partially faded. Marks to rear board. Joints and several hinges are cracked, some almost broken leading to some pages starting to be become detached. Inscription in ink to front endpaper with address written in pencil below. Drawings in pencil to rear endpaper. Evidence of bookwork damage on several pages. Two plates are missing - 1 colour and 1 b/w. Foxing and grubby marks throughout including several pencil marks. A reading copy.

Lower corner of front cover has been nibbled away, lower corner of rear cover worn. Covers beautifully bright. Front endpaper is missing. Light browning to outer page edges, a few foxspots to contents else exceptionally bright and clean.
