Blue cloth with black titles and sundial vignette to spine. Part of the "Ace" series. 8 monochrome plates. Second impression. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is taped to book with now yellowed tape. Dustwrapper is marked to spine and has tape across top and bottom. Text block browned. A few hinges pulled but binding is tight. Cigarette odour present.

Very slight damage to front pastedown. Some very slight foxing. Contents lovely and bright. A nice copy of this scarce Johns title. Not dated - possibly a first edition.
