Good condition. 83 b/w wood engravings. Bates paints a rare picture of rural England, along the Ouse and Nene rivers. Large format. Navy blue cloth with gilt title to spine.
Spine and corners bumped, wear to top of spine. Ink scribbles and remains of a Boots Library sticker to front cover. Rear cover is slightly faded at edges. Name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxing to endpapers, textblock and page margins. Remains of a couple of labels to rear endpapers.
