Uneven fading (offsetting from wrapper) to covers. Some page browning. Wrapper has been covered with clear adhesive film; some browning and a few marks.

Detailed sections on spawning and homing, and a most interesting conclusion by the eminent author that salmon do not feed in fresh water. This raises an interesting question for those who indulge in fly-fishing! This book beautifully describes the strange and mysterious life history of the salmon. ISBN: 000213201X. A few light marks to boards. Text block browned. Name & year in red ink to front endpaper. Contents are lightly browned. Pictorial dustwrapper is strengthened at spine and flap folds on verso with now yellowed tape (not visible to front), spine & corners lightly rubbed, rear panel slightly grubby. Overall a nice looking dustwrapper from the front.

Spine and corners bumped. Name and date in ink to front pastedown. Foxing, mainly to endpapers and textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn and grubby with browned spine and a couple of small patches of surface paper damage to rear panel.

Backstrip worn and front cover just starting to split from contents because of this. A little unobtrusive annotation to contents in pencil. Text block browned. Plates have some foxing present.
