Almost very good condition. Large format. Red cloth spine, pictorial front board showing a boy and a girl under green umbrella (it's snowing). Colour plates and b/w text illustrations throughout. First story is "Billy's Christmas Eve" by Walpole.
Spine is bumped and worn with 1.5" split at top of front edge. Corners bumped and very worn. Rear panel grubby. Front joint beginning to crack. Some hinges cracked. Dated inscription to verso of frontis. Light browning to endpapers. Foxing to page margins and to some pages internally.
