Spine browned. Covers grubby with a few small marks and some foxing. Front joint starting to crack. Ink inscription to verso of front endpaper, also visible on front endpaper. Label has been removed from front pastedown causing some surface paper damage. Endpapers browned. Brown mark affects lower corner of prelims as far as verso of frontis. Some foxing to contents. All plates present.

All colour illustrations present, 1 has ragged edge and crease - a binding error.
