Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. A re-issue of the 1931 edition. The text is from the 1676 edition, the fifth and last to be revised by the author, but the spelling is modernised since it is meant primarily to be read rather than admired as a 'period piece'. Green cloth with gilt titles and vignette to front and spine. Green pictorial endpapers. 12 colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. 223 pages.
A lovely copy. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn across the top front panel, faded to spine and lightly scuffed.
