Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
A re-issue of the 1931 edition. The text is from the 1676 edition, the fifth and last to be revised by the author, but the spelling is modernised since it is meant primarily to be read rather than admired as a 'period piece'. Green cloth with gilt titles and vignette to front and spine. Green pictorial endpapers. 12 colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. 223 pages. ISBN: 0245528687. A lovely copy. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn across the top front panel, faded to spine and lightly scuffed.

Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Grey/green cloth with gilt titles and vignette to front cover. 12 pastoral colour plates capture the spirit of this well-loved book. B/w text illustrations. Grey/green pictorial endpapers. 224 pages. Spine and corners bumped. Covers are sunned, light scratch mark to rear cover. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers browned, light foxing to textblock and heavier foxspots to prelims. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with damp stains to sides of spine, 2" loss to top of spine and a small patch of loss to centre of rear panel.

Very good condition.
Bound in publishers deluxe binding of brown leather with embossed decoration at front edges and with gilt titles. Top edge gilt. Two-tone green pictorial endpapers. 12 tissue-guarded colour plates and b/w text illustrations. Spine and corners very slightly bumped and rubbed. Tiny worn patch to lower edge of rear cover. Some very faint marking to covers. Light foxing throughout. Lower corner of half-title and frontis creased, tiny nick to edge of half-title page. All other plates fine condition.
