Trade edition. Brown cloth. Gilt titles and decorations to spine and front cover. Cream and orange pictorial endpapers. Part of the trilogy of 'The Ring of the Niblung'. With a prelude by Richard Wagner. Translated into English by Margaret Armour. 34 beautiful tipped-in colour plates, covered with captioned tissue-guards. Text in a play format. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some uneven fading/marks to covers, with scuffing. Inscription in ink to front endpaper, which also has some corner creasing. Light corner crease to frontis, other plates are fine! Some foxing and browning.

Contains only 3 coloured plates and 23 b/w drawings, but they are among Rackham's finest. He modelled the apple tree on one which grew outside his barn at Houghton House but it was pushed over by a mischievous cow soon after being drawn! Rose-grey pictorial cloth. Grey/white pictorial endpapers. 77 pages. 8.25 x 6.5". Some light bumping and wear to spine and corners. A little foxing and browning to endpapers and outer page edges. Odd margin mark. All plates present. Creasing to a couple of tissue guards.

Decorated paper boards. Red cloth spine. Delightful silhouette illustrations throughout. Tipped-in colour frontis plate. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Fading to top and tail of spine; a few small nicks. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Colour frontis has been fully pasted in and has multiple creases to corners. Foxing to some pages and outer page edges. Scarce original wrapper is very browned to spine, with tears and chips and creasing; loss to top, middle and bottom of spine; corners; some tape repairs to verso; damp mark along bottom of front panel.

The last book to be illustrated by Rackham. Grahame himself originally approached Rackham to illustrate his book but at that time it could not be managed. It was thirty years later that Rackham finally consented. The pictures were finished just as World War II broke out and were originally published in America by the Limited Editions Club. Green cloth, gilt titles to spine. 12 lovely colour plates plus 15 line illustrations in the text. 178 pages. Front cover is a little bowed, with some ink writing. Fading to spine and gilt to spine. Top corner of front endpaper has been cut off. Foxing to outer page edges, but contents are still very good.
