Very good condition. 3/4 bound dark blue leather with raised bands and gilt title to spine, marbled boards and endpapers. Binding by Zaehnsdorf. 24 colour plates with captioned guards (mounted on to stiff green paper). 12 full-page tinted illustrations plus numerous b/w drawings. 549 pages. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed.
3 of the plates have light corner creases, all others in fine condition. Some light foxing (mainly to prelims and outer page edges). A very handsome book.
