Red cloth. Limited to 1000 copies. B/w illustrations. Valentine Morris was born in the island of Antigua in 1727 but lived for 30 years at the Piercefield, part of which is now Chepstow racecourse. SIGNED by author to front endpaper, dedicated to a previous owner. Foxing to spine. Foxing and browning to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased with a few small tears and chips; minimal loss.
