THE PRACTICAL BUILDER'S PERPETUAL PRICE-BOOK
Written by Richard Elsam.
Stock no. 1712337
Published by Thomas Kelly. 1825. Fair condition.

10.5 x 8.5 inches. Brown leather spine and corners. 6 b/w plates. No author mentioned but believed to be Richard Elsam. The Practical Builder's Perpetual Price-Book; Elucidating the Principles of Correctly Ascertaining the Average Value of the Different Artificer's Works Usually Employed in Buildings; With the Customs of Measuring and Valueing in the Various Parts of the United Kingdom. Book: Inscription in ink to front endpaper which is also part detached from binding. Endpapers foxed. Front board detached. Boards worn with loss of colour. Base of spine chipped with loss. Corners bumped and worn. The plate descriptions on page 160 are slightly confusing and it could be argued that there should be 8 plates in this volume, but only 6 are bound in and none appear to have been removed. Opposite the frontis appears to be the half-title page with no title page present, we believe this is the way this copy was bound.
