Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Originally written under the pen-name of Mary Pollock in 1940, this edition re-issued in 1949. Green cloth, cream titles. B/w text illustrations. 96 pages. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Faint grubby marks to rear endpapers. A couple of pen marks to text block. Text pages clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with a little loss from ends of spine and folds. Panels slightly grubby, pale browning to spine and folds. Cup ring and some browning to verso.

Foxing mainly to prelims and page edges. A few light marks to rear endpaper. Contents otherwise generally clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped with a few small tears. Spine and rear panel browned. Front panel a bit grubby. Foxing which is more visible on verso. Red mark to verso of rear panel.
