A comprehensive guide. Green cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Over 350 colour plates in total. 868 pages. ISBN: 0713639601. Top & tail of spine and lower horizontal edges rubbed. Text block grubby. Name & date in ink to front endpaper (appears to have previously belonged to Brian Sawford, a well known local naturalist). Contents otherwise clean. White pictorial dustwrapper is lightly edge-creased and has a few minor chips, closed tears, and is a little grubby.

Boards clean and bright. Foxing mainly to endpapers and text block. Includes a leaflet on Lawrence of Arabia Memorial which is also foxed. Contents are tight and generally clean (bar foxing). Plain dustwrapper is grubby and lightly edge-worn.

In this book the career of T.E. Lawrence from the time he was a schoolboy, interested in archaeology, until his death in 1935, is recorded almost entirely in his own words: in his letters and in unpublished secret documents and official reports. Brown cloth, gilt title to spine. 896 pages including index. B/w photos and maps, some fold-out. Second impression. Top & tail of spine lightly shelf-worn. Boards have a very slight grubby appearance. Text block browned. A few foxspots present. Price-cut dustwrapper is grubby with a few marks, browned to spine, worn at corners & top & tail of spine.

De Luxe Limited Edition of 500 numbered copies, signed by the author. Bevelled boards. Heavy duty cloth boards with gilt titles and colour pattern. Top edge gilt. 75 tissue-guarded colour plates. xiii and 239 numbered pages. SIGNED by the author (no dedication) and numbered 238 (of 500). Boards grubby and stained, rear edge of spine has a small patch of cloth fraying.Joints cracked, rear endpaper missing. Binding of first few pages weak and will possibly disintegrate further so that the pages are loose. Binding glue drying out and thus a few weak spots. A few foxspots throughout. All plates present and clean.
