Third title of six in the Rupert Little Bear series. Light brown decorative front board with large colour pictorial onlay. Brown cloth spine with black title. Plain endpapers. Rear board plain. Pages printed in red, blue or brown with one illustration to each page. Front cover edges slightly darkened and rubbed. Corners very slightly worn. Slight discolouration to rear board. Small faded spot at base of spine. Lengthy inscription in ink by original owner, dated April 12th 1928, describing a motor journey from Felixstowe to London where this book was purchased. Contents beautifully bright and clean. A lovely copy of this rare early Rupert book.

Square format. Cream boards with illustration to front. 83 pages. Brown and black illustrations with verses below. Spine and corners worn with minimal loss to top and tail of spine and slight chipping of surface paper to rear edge of spine. A few tiny dents to cover edges. Light vertical creases to front cover. Covers are a bit grubby. Neat inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers very lightly browned. A few light foxspots to contents and a few pages have a very light vertical crease to centre. Overall a nice copy of a very scarce Rupert Bear book.
