SIGNED by the author (no dedication) to front endpaper. Top & tail of spine lightly shelf-worn. Couple of minor marks to front board. Gift inscription in ink to front pastedown (hidden by front flap of dustwrapper). Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is faded to spine and is creased.

Green cloth, gilt titles and decoration. B/w title-page illustration plus 4 other text illustrations. Spine bumped, worn and browned. Some fading to top edge of front cover. Vertical mark to centre of rear cover. Tissue-guards are browned. Some slight foxing. Dustwrapper is chipped and torn with loss at edges and to spine/rear panel. Light foxing to verso of wrapper.

SIGNED by author to prelim page, this is Copy No. 59. Some light wear and fading to covers. There are some page edges which are ragged, with grubby marks and a few nicks/chips, where page edges were not fully cut. Marks to outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased with some marks and nicks and chips; grubby/marked to spine.

Grey cloth with red spine. Gilt vignette to lower front corner. Delightful tipped-in colour plates and b/w drawings. How Mr. Korah is taken captive by an octopus but lives to tell the tale. Spine and corners bumped. A few light foxspots to textblock. Faint whiff of tobacco to contents. Dustwrapper is just a little grubby.
