A detailed research into the six true species of thrush breeding in the British Isles; including a chapter of Britain's vagrant thrushes and a further substantial chapter on the seven species of small chat-like thrushes of the British Isles, including the Nightingale and the Robin. ISBN: 0002196700. Spine and corners bumped. Foxspots to textblock. Price-cut wrapper is edge rubbed and slightly browned to spine, closed tear to lower edge of rear panel which is slightly grubby.

Cape Clear Island, the most southerly point of Ireland, apart from the nearby Fastnet Rock, has been the site of a bird obsservatory since 1959. This account of the island, it flora and fauna, its inhabitants and history is weighted in favour of the birds since the island offers much of exceptional ornithological interest. A fine copy in a blue wrapper which is rubbed at edges and corners, a little scuffed and has a small closed tear to top of front edge of spine.
