Large heavy format. Vol XI - No. 510 October 5, 1889 to No. 561 Sept 27, 1890. Green cloth with gilt titles and decoration. Colour plates and b/w text illustrations. 832 pages. Spine has been glued into place, split to rear edge and top of front edge. Also bumped, worn and darkened. Wear to corners, covers grubby and marked. Joints look to have been broken or partially broken but glue in spine is holding them firm. All plates present but repaired tear to one. Endpapers are grubby but contents are generally clean.
Black spine and corners, green boards with embossed foliage pattern. Colour plates and b/w text illustrations. Large heavy format. Vol XIX No. 927 October 2, 1897 to No. 978 September 24, 1898. Spine is bumped and worn with some nicks and loss to ends, 2" split to front edge. Heavy wear to corners and grubby marks/stains to covers. Front joint cracked. Small tear to outside edge of first four pages. Small area coloured on illustration on first text page, colour has travelled through to next two pages. Light foxing. A couple of pages have creased corners. Endpapers browned. Small bookseller's label to rear pastedown. A few marks to text block. Contents generally clean.
Contains issues from October 5th 1889 - September 27th 1890. Large format. Red cloth with gilt titles and decorations. 11 colour or b/w plates including title page. Front cover and spine very stained and marked (damp?). Some bumping and wear to spine and corners. Small dark mark to rear cover. Joints cracked. Some pages are loose but none seem to be totally detached. Some foxing and an odd mark but most pages are clean.
Blue cloth, dark titles in borders. Colour frontis. 222 pages. Spine is unevenly faded, with a few marks. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and a few page margins.
Brown cloth with blind decorations to covers and gilt title to spine. Contains Vol. VIII Number 362 December 4th 1886 - Vol. IX Number 413, November 26 1887 plus "Victoria's Laurel", the extra summer issue and "Evergreen", the extra Christmas issue for 1887 Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine very faded. Couple of scratches to front board and some marks to rear board. Front joint is broken but binding remains tight. Damp mark and foxing to text block edge. Heavy foxing to prelims.
October 1895 to September 1896. Large heavy format. Dark blue textured boards with leather corners and spine. Gilt titles and bands to spine. 10 plates listed, 2 are colour. 832 pages. Spine and corners worn with some loss of surface. Small split to top of spine. White marks (damp?) to covers. Three names in pen to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. Contents are very good, just an odd mark. All plates present. Book has slight musty smell.
Orange pictorial cloth. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. 288 pages. Free endpapers lightly browned else contents very good. Top of front cover nibbled. Base of spine slightly chipped. Corners bumped.
Red cloth, gilt title and black vignette to spine, black title and decoration to front cover. Colour frontis. 222 pages. Spine and corners bumped, small split to base of spine. Remains of very small white sticker to front endpaper. Foxing and some fingering to contents but generally clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with loss, 2" loss to base of spine, tape repair to top of spine on verso and a few tiny holes (caused by scratches) to front panel. Rear panel is a bit grubby. A nice copy in a decent enough dustwrapper.
