Katherine and Jane meet on the train on their way to Setterfield College. They are both 'freshers' and this is the story of their first year at college. Mustard cloth boards with black titles to spine and vignettes of two girls and a school on the front board. B/w line drawings. 208 pages. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Small patch of damp staining to bottom of rear board. Erased pencil marks to front endpaper. Couple of marks to edge of text block otherwise contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with loss to top and bottom of spine and folds. Couple of small holes to rear panel. Browning to panels and verso.
