Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
This book tells of a year spent deep in the countryside, beginning when the year is young, when trees and hedges are bare to the winters winds, and on through the spring, summer and autumn, to winter once again. Green boards, gilt title to spine. Super b/w illustrations. ISBN: 0718120396. Browning and some foxing to endpapers and outer page edges/margins. Wrapper has a few light marks.

Grey cloth, red titles. Enchanting b/w wood-engravings. 200 pages. (The true first edition, as this book was later published with colour plates). Spine is browned, with red title fading. Bumping to corners and spine. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing; heaviest to prelims, endpapers and outer page edges; some to page margins. A few other margin marks.

Well known fairy tales retold. Light blue cloth covers, silver gilt titles to front and spine. 15 beautiful colour plates and some b/w chapter illustrations. vii and 140 pages. Top edge red. Spine and corners bumped, some fading to top and tail of spine. "No. 260" and initials written in ink to front free-endpapers. Endpapers browned. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with slight loss to spine and corners, tears to base of spine, small brown mark to rear panel and some slight grubbiness to front panel.

A quite enchanting story of a colony of gnomes who live in the vast Forest of Boland, quarrying in their mines for precious metals with the aid of the Boland Belle of the Forest Light Railway. One day a mischievous leprechaun leads a band of followers in an attempt to break up the railway... Humour and excitement is captured with ingenious detail in BB's superb b/w illustrations and colour frontis. Blue pictorial boards. 127 pages. Spine and corners bumped. Fading to top and tail of spine and some slight fading to lower cover edges. Endpapers lightly browned. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with some loss and more substantial loss to base of spine and lower edge of rear panel (1"). Dustwrapper is also slightly grubby.
