Large format. 15 x 9 inches. Brown leather spine and corners. Gilt decorations and title to spine. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Large paper edition. This copy contains a significant number of additional plates. Pagination: iv + 2 page list of subscribers + 298 pages + 4 page list of Sheriffs + 2 page index. Large folding map + two numbered plates. In addition there are 20 plates of views and heraldic shields. Tipped-in manuscript letter dated 1810 on front endpaper. 1 1/2 pages additional handwritten topographical and genealogical information on Scalford tipped-in to first blank page. Spine rubbed with small split at top. Boards slightly spotted. Corners bumped and worn. Blank pages browned, dampstain to last blank page. Contents very clean and bright. Overall a superb copy of this antiquarian history.
