The second in the 'Torment' trilogy. Grey decorated cloth, oval pictorial onlay to front cover. Colour frontis and 3 b/w plates. 214 pages. Spine slightly bumped. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. Foxing to contents (mainly first few pages and page edges). Covers have been kept beautifully bright by original pictorial wrapper which is a little edge rubbed with tiny nicks at corners, closed tear to front fold. Wrapper is also unusually bright. A superb copy indeed.

Spine and corners slightly bumped. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Light foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Dustwrapper is price-cut, slightly grubby and edge worn with clear tape reinforcements on verso. A few small nicks to edges of wrapper but 99.5% complete.

Large inscription in ink to front endpaper. Light foxing and browning to page margins. Dustwrapper is price-cut, edge-torn and chipped and a bit grubby.
