Pictorial paper boards entitled 'Fairy Lights' shows children with Chinese lanterns. Colour frontis by Florence Harrison plus b/w and two-tone illustrations (one or two by F.Harrison). Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine browned. Rear cover is grubby. Browning and foxing to contents. Some pencil colouring to endpapers, especially rear endpapers. One b/w illustration has been coloured in with watercolours. Hinges pulled but binding still tight. Name in heavy pencil to rear free-endpaper.

Some foxing to contents.

Endpapers are lightly browned, slight evidence of removal of a label to front free-endpaper. Name, adderess and date in belongs to box (blue biro). NOT price cut but price also written (in blue biro) 3 times to other corners of title-page. Crossword done in pencil. Painting contest part completed with entry form completed. Textblock is slightly grubby.

Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Tiny booksellers sticker to rear free-endpaper. Some light browning and foxing to endpapers and textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn and grubby with damp staining to lower edges and some other marks, loss at edges.

Edited by G.A.Hutchison, stories by numerous authors. First item (a poem) is 'A Holiday Discovery' by Somerville Gibney. Blue & white pictorial paper wraps. Staple binding. B/w Frontis by Alfred Pearse plus numerous b/w illustrations by multiple people throughout. Adverts to front and rear. Staples rusty and bleeding therefore binding is a little fragile especially for the covers. Spine is worn with a little loss. Covers are browned. A few marks mainly to margins but overall a good copy for a magazine of this age!
