Green pictorial cloth. 227 pages. B/w illustrations throughout by Francis, Boz, Palmer Cox and others. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Slight browning to spine. Name in ink on small label to front free-endpaper (this has caused a small patch of browning on opposite pastedown and the label is now partially removed). Light page edge browning.

Pictorial covers show Indians watching a boy being taken around on a trolley. Colour frontis. Photo pages + b/w illustrations throughout. First story is 'The Medical Medicine-Man' by Victor Slade. Covers are well worn with damp stains at edges. Split at rear edge of spine (lower half). Contents are well browned with damp staining to margins of plates. Hinges are cracked and pulled causing contents to be a little loose.

Price-cut wrapper is worn and chipped with loss, spine is browned and there is a creased tear to rear panel.
