Ladybird series 497. Cream boards with square pictorial onlay to front and titles. B/w pictorial endpapers. Colour illustrations throughout. Boards a little grubby, corners lightly rubbed. Browning to endpapers. A few marks to contents. First gathering a little loose, hinge pulled. Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly edge-rubbed with tiny amounts of loss mainly to corners, and a little scuffed.

Light staple rust marks showing to front of spine. Very minor surface paper loss to lower edge of front cover (due to rubbing). Rear cover is browned and a bit grubby. Text block browned. Contents clean. Overall a nice copy.
