Spine and corners slightly bumped. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Light foxing else contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with slight loss and torn with tape repairs on verso, also grubby to spine and rear panel.

Burgundy textured boards. Gilt titles. Blue pictorial endpapers. Colour frontis. B/w and two-tone illustrations. 2nd impression. Top inch of spine is faded. Wear to cover edges. Foxing to outer page edges and some to prelims. Wrapper is badly torn - front flap torn off - but still present - loss to top of spine - messily taped together in places.
