B/w illustrations. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Joints are cracked, so binding is starting to become a bit weak. Heavy browning and darkening, especially to page edges.

The idea that because weeds are a nuisance they must also be dull is dispelled in a few pages. Not only does the author show that an understanding of these criminals of the plant world will make their control both easier and more interesting: he also imparts to the reader something of his own delight and wonder. Spine unevenly faded. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is faded to spine, with some foxing and marking.

Green cloth, gilt titles. B/w illustrations. Packed full of valuable advice and information written in a simple and fascinating style for children. One of Blyton's more uncommon titles. Spine and corners bumped. Some fading to cover edges. Child's name and address in pencil to both free-endpapers which are also partly browned. Colouring to some of the b/w text illustrations. Dustwrapper is a bit grubby and is in two halves (split at front edge of spine) and has loss to top and tail of spine and to top edge of front panel.
