Spine and corners bumped and worn, split to top 2" of spine. Light scratch marks to rear cover. Front joint cracked. Light pencil mark to rear endpaper. Some messy colour to the b/w illustrations, pencil doodles to one of the plates. Grubby fingermarks to page margins. Some tears at inner margins. Very scarce in this format.

The story of a newspaper like no other, written and printed every week for over forty years in the remote South Wiltshire village of Bowerchalke by its remarkable vicar, the Revd Edward Collett. Originally published as The Bowerchalke Parish Papers: Collett's Village Newspaper, 1878-1924 in 1989 by Alan Sutton Publishing. A completely revissed and reset edition with additional illustrations. Brown boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. x and 166 pages including index. ISBN: 0946418225. SIGNED by the author (no dedication) to title page. Base of spine bumped. Contents fine. Dustwapper is unevenly faded and lightly edge-worn.
