Rebacked with original spine covering laid down. New endpapers. Corners bumped and worn. Covers slightly marked. Foxing to frontis and title page. Some foxing to contents, mainly to margins. Pages lightly browned. A few corner tips creased.

London in the 1860's by 'On Of The Old Brigade', pseudonym of Donald Shaw. Brown pictorial cloth, yellow titles to spine, black titles to front cover. 6 b/w plates. 312 pages. SIGNED by author on front endpaper with presentation inscription. Spine and corners worn. Covers a little marked and cloth slightly bubbled. Bookplate of Col. Grantley Norton on front pastedown. Front endpaper has a couple of closed tears. Small Victorian photos stuck to blank pages of prelims and rear endpapers, 5 in total. Front endpaper reinserted. Rear endpaper partially detached. Pencil annotations to rear endpaper. Foxing to first and last pages and a few foxspots to contents, otherwise clean.
