Almost very good condition.
Large oblong format. Blue cloth, gilt title to spine and front cover, pictorial onlay to front. Pretty colour pictures, each with verses with music on facing pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Faint damp stain to rear cover. Joints cracked but binding still tight. Some light foxing and grubby fingermarks to page margins. A few small edge tears at margins.

Red, black and white illustrations with text in rhyme. Spine worn at ends, some creasing to covers. Colour page behind front cover has 2" split to spine edge at bottom, ink inscription to verso. Staples rusty. Light browning and an odd mark to text pages.

Contents clean. Price-cut dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped with tears to top of lightly browned spine. Small closed tear to front panel below title. Light foxing to top edges of flaps.

Rusty marks to pages alongside spine from staples. A couple of numbers in child's writing to verso of half-title page. A few marks to contents, some creases and a few fox spots. All plates present, small mark to frontis and last plate.
