Cheap edition. Red cloth, black title to spine. 250 pages with 2 page advert to rear. B/w illustrations. Ninth impression, November 1938. Spine and corners bumped. A few light marks to covers. Some foxing and some light fingermarks to page margins else contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped with some slight loss and tape repairs on verso. Dustwrapper spine and rear panel are a bit grubby.

Name and address in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxing to prelims and to textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn with loss, large piece of loss to lower front corner. Spine is browned and rear panel is a bit grubby with tick marks to title list. There are brown paper repairs at edges on verso of wrapper.

A few tiny, light marks to rear panel.
