A Magazine for the Young, New and enlarged series. Black spine with gilt titles and bands, marbled boards with black corners. Colour frontis and one other colour plate, b/w illustrations throughout. Serial Stories are Bunty and the Boys and The Children of the Clan. Spine worn and rubbed. Corners bumped and worn. Wear to cover edges. Covers grubby and worn with small patch of damage to marble paper on front and back cover. Both joints cracked. 1.25" tear to bottom of frontis repaired on verso with clear tape. Front endpaper stuck to front pastedown. Rear endpaper MISSING. Faint lines drawn to verso of full-page b/w Wain illustration. Contents generally clean but with some browning and foxing.
Or With Cortez in Mexico. Pictorial green cloth with gilt title to spine, black titles to front cover. Bevelled edges. 10 b/w plates and 2 maps. 384 pages plus 32 page catalogue to rear. All edges olivine. Spine bumped with wear and small splits to cloth at either end. Heavy wear to corners. Spine browned, uneven fading to covers. Wear to cover edges. Both joints and a few hinges cracked but binding still firm.Contents generally clean with light page edge browning. All plates present.

Green cloth with gilt/black titles and vignettes to spine and front cover. 12 illustrations + map of the Grecian Archipelago. 384 pages + 32 page booklist to rear. Covers are a little marked. Spine and corners are bumped with wear. Spine slightly darkened. A few hinges are cracked. All plates present. Some foxing and grubby margin marks.

This story originally appeared in Little Folks Magazine. Boards grubby and worn at corners, spine has some fraying to cloth. Bookplate to front pastedown. List of illustrations almost detached from centre section. Staple binding is rusty. A few grubby marks to contents.
