Green cloth spine with dark titles and vignette. Front cover shows three children in a canoe. First story Tom's Pigs by Marjorie Seymour. Illustrated endpapers by Anne Anderson. Colour plates, colour and b/w illustrations. 200 pages. Spine and corners worn. Small tear in cloth at base of spine. Edges of boards exposed on rear cover where pictorial onlay has worn away. Endpapers browned. Minor worm damage to top corner of frontis. Clear tape repair to gutter of pages 154 and 155 where pages have pulled from stitching. Binding sound. Occasional foxspots but contents generally clean.

Blue cloth with gilt title to spine. B/w photos. ISBN: 0304935433. Has stickers saying 'The Readers Union Group of Book Clubs' to wrapper flap and title page. A few marks to endpapers and outer page edges. Small pen mark to title page. Wrapper is creased with a closed tear to base of spine.

A detailed, graphic story of the greatest naval battle since Trafalgar, compiled with the help of the official documents of both Germany and England. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Fourteen diagrams to rear pocket. Browning to text block and endpapers. All diagrams present in rear pocket. Blue dustwrapper is browned especially to spine and front vertical edge with a few small marks.

Removal of a small label to front pastedown. Heavy foxing, mainly to textblock. Yellow pictorial wrapper is edge chipped and slightly torn, grubby rear panel and wear to edges.
