Joints starting to crack. Light browning to endpapers, some foxing to contents. There is a musty (possibly tobacco) smell to contents.

Brown blind stamped boards, gilt title to spine and vignette to front. B/w plates. vi and 248 pages. Top & tail of spine worn, corners lightly rubbed. Boards clean and bright. Front endpaper missing. Contemporary inscription in ink to verso of frontis. Top corner creases to contents and a few grubby marks.
Three-quarters blue calf leather binding, red title block with gilt title to spine. Marbled paper boards. Marbled text block. Hand-coloured frontis. xii + 346 pages. Spine is faded, scuffed and worn, small splits to sides of top & tail, slight loss to tail. Edges rubbed & worn. Boards scuffed. Joints cracked but binding tight. Foxing to prelims and last couple of pages. A few margin marks to contents.
Green cloth with gilt titles and decorations. Hand coloured plates. Ninth edition. Covers are damp marked; bumping to corners. Damp staining to a few pages internally, also foxing.
