Some wear to cover edges and spines. A few grubby marks. Contents have kept very nicely - protected by box. Nice and bright. Box is in fair-good condition - has been heavily repaired to edges with magic tape; Large tear to one edge of top of box. Still a cute set of Hulme Beaman illustrated books.

Almost very good condition.
For the instruction of youth: with maps. To which is added, the history of the Jews, from the time of Nehemiah to the destruction of Jerusalem. Fourth Edition. Brown leather with small raised bands to spine. Gilt decorations and borders. Scuffing to covers, with some wear to edges; couple of splits to spines. A few ink stamps to prelims. Page browning and some foxing. There are some red ink annotations to two of the maps and a light red stain to map of The Travels of the Apostle Paul. Still a very good set for its age.

Text according to the best and latest authorities on natural sciences". Large format. Embossed navy cloth with gilt title and decoration to front cover. 97 pages. Cream endpapers. Spine and corners bumped and worn, spine professionally re-backed retaining original cloth. Cover edges lightly rubbed. Covers a bit grubby. Name and date in ink to front endpaper. Joints cracked and repaired, Small binders sticker to rear pastedown. There is foxing and grubby fingermarks throughout and there are light damp stains to the plates (mainly evident on verso but some do show stains to front, however, colours are still bright on all plates). A decent copy of a very scarce book.

A collection of stories and illustrations which originally appeared in "Little Folks" between 1896 and 1902, during which period most of the numbers of the magazine contained some of Rackham's drawings. 36 tinted line-drawn plates and text illustrations. Green cloth gilt titles and decoration to front cover. 144 pages. 11 x 8.5". One of the more unusual Rackham items. Spine bumped, worn and browned. Covers are bowed and discoloured, rubbing to rear cover. Light spotting and page browning with some light fingering but generally contents clean.

Gissing lived alone on the Canine Estates, had an income of 1000 bones a year but was not happy... A story about dogs. 4 unusual colour plates and 16 b/w line drawings. Bright blue cloth, gilt titles and vignette to front cover and spine. Blue and white pictorial endpapers. Top edge gilt. 227 pages. Top and tail of spine slightly worn with a couple of small nicks. Corners rubbed. Faint damp marks to corners of some pages. Otherwise covers and contents beautifully bright and clean.
