Brandy and the author meet at Battersea Dogs' Home when the author was looking for a dog. This is Brandy's story as told by Brandy to his Master. Green paper boards wtih black title & vignette to front. Pictorial endpapers. B/w illustrations to text, two full page two-tone illustrations. Boards nice and clean, endpapers lightly browned. Contents fine. Yellow pictorial wrapper is grubby and has a closed edge-tear to rear panel.

The following words have been punch stamped as holes at the bottom of the title page 'Complimentary Copy Not for Sale' else contents fine. Pictorial wrapper is a little edge-chipped. A very nice copy of the first Faber edition.
