Deluxe edition, limited to 525 numbered and signed copies. Bound in light grey cloth with gold pictorial spine. Gold pictorial white label to front cover. Top edge gilt, others uncut. 13 tipped-in colour plates and 43 b/w drawings. Mauve on white pictorial endpapers. 250pp. 12 x 9.5". SIGNED by Rackham. Limited edition: this is copy number 352 of 525. Spine and corners bumped, with some wear to the cloth. Some marks to boards. Cracking ans splitting to front joint. Endpapers browned. Bookplate pasted to half-title page. All colour plates present: last plate is corner creased but all others are in fine condition. A few scattered foxspots. Contents generally clean and bright, but pages 248-9 are browned.

Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
His master rewarded Hans for his faithful service with a lump of gold. Happily Hans set off to see his mother after seven years, but before long he was persuaded to part with his precious burden. Oblong format, white pictorial paper boards. Colour illustrations, one line of text to a page. ISBN: 0192797077. Heavy bump to top corners affects all pages too. Some wear to spine and corners. Covers a tiny bit grubby. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with a few small chips. Also slightly grubby and browned. Top corner crease to both flaps. Book has been used as a rest for writing, visible on dustwrapper at certain angles.

Fair condition.
"A New Collection of Popular Tales" translated from the German by Taylor. 3/4 leather binding with gilt title and decoration to spine. Blue cloth to covers. B/w plates. Spine is rubbed and slightly darkened. Corners are slightly worn. There are a few light marks to the front cover. Both joints are cracked but not broken. Most of the tissue-guards to the plates have been removed. I think there may be an illustration to the prelims missing. Plate to page 200 has been repaired (was in two pieces has been laid down on a white piece of paper) and the last plate has lower corner torn off (actual illustration not affected). There is foxing and fingermarks to the contents. A decent copy overall of this very rare Brothers Grimm item.

The violence and grotesqueries have been toned down conveying instead a wealth of humour and charm throughout. 12 beautiful tipped-in colour plates plus 43 b/w drawings. Large format. Green cloth, gilt titles and vignette. Pictorial endpapers and title page. 250 pages. Top corner/edge of front cover had semi-circular piece missing (depth 8mm, width of 22mm). Covers a little marked. Bumping to corners. Browning to endpapers. Some page edges uncut. Frontis has light corner creases. All plates present.
