Beige cloth with red title to spine. Wrapper is edge-torn and chipped, with some loss; foxed with grubby marks.
The story of a little mouse's search for a very special Christmas gift. Delightful colour illustrations. Pale blue cloth, gilt title to spine and vignette to front cover. Small format. Slight bumping to spine. Some light foxing to top edge of textblock else contents fine. Some small marks to dustwrapper and a light vertical brown mark to edge of front panel, dustwrapper spine is lightly browned.
2nd issue. Red cloth, gilt titles. Circular gilt vignette to front cover. 6 richly coloured plates mounted on green sugar-paper, plus numerous b/w illustrations (many full-page). Translated from the French by A.E. Johnson. 2nd issue. A few marks to covers. Corners are bumped. A little browning to spine; some fading to gilt. Vertical creasing to front endpaper and half-title page. Foxing and browning, mostly to prelims and outer page edges. A few margin marks. All plates present.
Large format. Cream cloth spine, blue pictorial boards. Colour pictures throughout. Board edges rubbed. Light staining to cloth spine. Contents clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with loss, browned and damp stained to spine.

Gilt faded from spine. A few marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front endpaper, name and address on half-title. Frontis plate has ragged edges and is repaired on verso. Page 67 has a closed margin tear. Some foxspots to contents. Brown mark from old paperclip on a couple of pages.

Front joint beginning to crack. Browning to endpapers and tissue guard to frontis. Name and numbers (Isa 14/20) written in ink on front endpaper. Foxing to prelims and page edges. Some fingering. Plates all present.
Deluxe edition, limited to 525 numbered and signed copies. Bound in light grey cloth with gold pictorial spine. Gold pictorial white label to front cover. Top edge gilt, others uncut. 13 tipped-in colour plates and 43 b/w drawings. Mauve on white pictorial endpapers. 250pp. 12 x 9.5". SIGNED by Rackham. Limited edition: this is copy number 352 of 525. Spine and corners bumped, with some wear to the cloth. Some marks to boards. Cracking ans splitting to front joint. Endpapers browned. Bookplate pasted to half-title page. All colour plates present: last plate is corner creased but all others are in fine condition. A few scattered foxspots. Contents generally clean and bright, but pages 248-9 are browned.

All colour plates present, tear to top margin of one whilst does reach illustration. Just a few fox spots. Contents mostly clean just an odd mark.
