Cream cloth, large pictorial onlay to spine and front board, front board shows boy cooking over an open fire whilst girl is passing sticks for fire. First story is 'The Griffins' by Florence Harrison. Colour frontis shows 'The Brownie Gets His Cream'. Colour & b/w illustrations. Boards clean, worn at corners. Name in ink to front pastedown. A few minor foxspots and light marks to margins. Colour plate "She bore away from the danger" has been neatly trimmed away on bottom margin (about an inch missing) but still bears the title of the plate and has a few small closed tears to vertical edge. Pictorial wrapper has neat inscription in ink to front panel, is edge-worn and has loss at edges. Overall, still a decent copy.
