Red cloth with black titles to front and spine. 250 pages and 2 pages of adverts to rear. B/w illustrations. Third impression. Uneven fading to top edge of boards. A few hinges pulled. Scattered foxing throughout. Top edge of text block grubby. Pictorial wrapper is torn with loss and faded.

Slightly better than good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper.
The ninth Buffin book. Blue boards, gilt title and vignette to front cover. Colour illustrations. Mo is a duckling. Spine and corners bumped. Small tear and bump to top of front board which is faded to grey. A little fading to bottom of front board. A little surface paper damage to top of front endpaper. Some browning to endpapers and prelims. Stitching is loosening but contents are still firmly attached. Dustwrapper is edge worn and rubbed with a few small tears, which have been taped on verso. Front panel is creased. Verso of wrapper is foxed.

The Ninth Abbey Girls story. Orange cloth with silver titles to spine and front cover. Colour frontis. 276 pages. Minor uneven fading to covers. Silver titles nice and bright. Minor foxing to outer page edges. Price-cut pictorial wrapper is edge-worn with a few closed tears and small chips, lightly faded to spine and slightly grubby to rear panel. Overall a nice copy.

Very good condition.
A child's novel written and illustrated by the author when she was seven and a half. Published without alteration or addition. Including a facsimile of original manuscript. Brown cardwrap. 8.5 x 7 ins. Written in 1927. Excellent sketches by child author. Spine bumped and rubbed with a little loss. Some hinges pulled as a result of the glue drying out which has left some brown marks to inner margins but binding remains firm. A little foxing and a few light finger marks otherwise contents are clean.
