Spine is damaged (split) and has been re-glued and taped; a small piece of loss; also browned. Bumping and wear to corners; some foxing to covers. Inscriptions in ink to verso of front endpaper and belongs to box. Price-cut. Margin loss to bottom margin of pages 51-52. Page edge browning with some foxing. Page corners are a bit creased.

Chipping/heavy bump to top edge of front cover. Staining and browning to covers and to pages throughout. Stains get larger to page near rear of book. A reading copy. Frontis is nearly detached.
