An exciting story following the Buckingham's, set in Ludlow and Hereford. Blue cloth with gilt titles. Colour frontis and b/w text illustrations. Some foxing to covers. Front endpaper has been torn out and is missing. Bookseller's label to rear pastedown. Some foxing mostly to page edges. Pictorial wrapper is edge-torn and chipped, with some areas of loss. Rear panel is a little grubby. Price crossed out in pen.

Green cloth, gilt titles and vignette. Pictorial endpapers and title page. 250 pages. Top corner/edge of front cover had semi-circular piece missing (depth 8mm, width of 22mm). Covers a little marked. Bumping to corners. Browning to endpapers. Some page edges uncut. Frontis has light corner creases. All plates present.

Light foxing to prelims. Frontis has silvery sheen, giving an overall browned effect.
