Green cloth, silver title to spine. B/w illustrations. Minimal bumping to spine and corners. Slight fading to cover edges. Prize inscription in ink to front pastedown. Dustwrapper is edge rubbed with creases to top edge of front panel and a couple of large corner tears. Rear panel of wrapper is very very slightly grubby.

Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
The drought had lasted for many weeks and there was practically no water left in the wells of the village of Bourne Bridge. Hiram, Sykes, Michael and Ernest went down the canal each day to the town for water. One day Hiram found an ancient book which told how a wheel with a bell on it was rolled down the hill to find water. So he sets out to find water.... Cream boards, brown title to spine. B/w illustrations to text. 175 pages. Spine bumped and slightly damp stained. A few small spots to cover edges. Endpapers lightly browned. Textblock slightly foxed and a bit dusty to top edge. Dustwrapper is worn at spine and corners with small tears.
