Bumping to corners. Spine is browned. Small tear in cloth near base of spine. Damp mark across top edge of rear cover. Inscriptions in ink to front pastedown and endpaper. Foxing throughout. Edge creasing to a couple of plates. One plate has been torn out, with jagged edge and taped back in with sticky tape.

He also explores such vanished pastimes of the working man as cockfighting. The main characters are his terrier, San, and two hawks, a buzzard and a goshawk. Re-issue.
