The Miller and his boy took their donkey to market to sell him... Pictorial paperboards, blue cloth spine. Colour illustrations thoughout. Small fade mark to base of spine. Some bumping to corners. Browning to page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased with a few chips and small tears, but minimal loss.
A lonely donkey finds friends with the help of a wise owl. Light blue boards with onlay to front cover. Beautiful colour pictures on every page. Ladybird Series 497. Spine and edges of covers are faded; some browning. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased with some nicks to edges; marks and browning.

Book is from The Margaret Roper School which was opened by Brent-Dyer. School name, class and pupil name written on verso of front endpaper above Brent-Dyer signature. Backstrip is cracked, possibly has been glued, very slight loss to top of spine. Covers are slightly edge worn with a few small marks. A few pen lines to illustrations on endpapers. A few corner creases. Contents very good.

A true story. The Donkey Club was founded by the authors in 1951 when there was very considerable traffic in donkeys from Eire for the meat trade. Green boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. Small name in ink to front endpaper. Contents clean. Pictorial wrapper is worn at corners, a few small closed tears & chips to edges and grubby.
Brown pictorial boards. Two-tone illustrations throughout. Some browning to covers. Couple of corners are bumped. Name in ink to front endpaper.
