Cloth spine, cream front board showing dark-haired girl with hat on. First story is "The Luck of the School" by Angela Brazil. 4 colour plates. B/w text illustrations. Covers are edge worn. Front cover and spine a little grubby. Name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Front joint (between frontis and title-page) is cracked showing webbing beneath. Some foxing and fingering to contents. Plate opposite page 56 is loose but still present.

Covers are edge worn. Scuffed to front cover and grubby to rear. Spine also a bit grubby. Name plate to front free-endpaper. Inscription in ink to verso of frontis. Foxing to contents and some hinges slightly pulled causing contents to be a little loose.
