Third Edition. A story about the last gnomes in Britain, their exploration of the Folly Brook and their search for Cloudberry, their long-lost brother who went up the Folly and never returned... Beige boards, red titles. Colour frontis. Woodcuts. Vertical crease to spine and small mark to base of spine. Colour frontis has been re-inserted with tape which has left some tape residue (tape no longer present) to front and rear of page. Frontis is edge-creased. Pictorial dustwrapper is heavily rubbed, worn at top & tail of spine and corners, scuffed to rear panel.

Dark patches to top and bottom of front board. Couple of marks to rear board. Prize presentation plate to front endpaper. Some foxing and marks to page edges otherwise contents are clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with a few tears and small areas of loss. Spine is browned. Rear panel is stained and browned. Top of wrapper and verso browned. Several pieces of clear tape have been used on verso to mend tears.

Bumping and wear to spine and corners; spotting to couple of corners. Some browning and uneven fading; especially to spine, which also has a damp mark to base. Bookplate to front endpaper. Some foxing - mostly to outer page edges and endpapers. Name in ink to front endpaper. Wrapper is in two halves, with spine MISSING; tape marks to edges; much creasing and tears; but both panels are mostly complete!
